And Now for Somthing Completely Different!

One of the (many) nice things about canal holidaying is the people you meet “on the cut” We like mingling with other canal folk, and finding out what they do, where they live, about their boat, and what they do besides cruise the canals. We always canal for most of our holiday, and then spend a week or two doing something else before coming back to Oz. This way we have managed time in Paris, Dublin, Vienna, and motored around the U.K. and Wales. However, compared to some of our co-travelers, this is pretty mundane stuff. Last year as we moored near the Shroppie Fly we chatted to John who has just completed a week in Tenerife. Tenerife? Now I knew nothing about Tenerife, but after a half hour with John, and a couple of pints later, I’m finding out all I can about the place. I’s located off the coast of Spain, and part of the lovely Canary islands. Find out all about it

A spot we have visited regularly, and love, is Cornwell. We have met many a boater from Cornwell, and never tire of the sea and lovely villages down there.

Places like Tintagel, Padstow, Boscastle, with their cobbled streets, small intimate pubs, and the fishing fleets make Cornwall one of our favorite spots on earth.Do yourself a favour, if you haven't been yet, visit
Cornwall
as soon as you tie up!
It was a couple of trips ago, at Llangollen, when a couple from America started telling us of their ther holiday passion...scuba diving.Swimming in chrystal clear water with the fish seems pretty nice to me. One of my workmates here in Adelaide is a mad diver, an is always trying to get me to get into it. Have a look at One-stop-center for your online Scuba Diving information and vacation.
What about Mexico? Jens brother and wife are always banging on to us about Mexico. So we had a quick swing through the net and found this great site on
Cancun
in Mexico. We have since heard some excellent reports on Cancun, and surrounding area.
